Welcome to Department of Physical Education! We started in 2012 as Radha Govind College of Physical Education and are affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University. Now we’re part of Radha Govind University since 2018. Each year, we welcome 100 students in our various programs like B.P.E.S, B.P.Ed, M.A in Physical Education and M.A Yoga.

PEO1-Develop a thorough understanding of the research process in physical education and sports sciences, enabling students to critically analyze and contribute to existing knowledge in the field.

PEO2-Gain comprehensive knowledge of the physiology of exercise, including the physiological responses and adaptations to physical activity, facilitating the design and implementation of effective exercise programs for various populations.

PEO3-Acquire proficiency in yogic sciences, including theoretical principles and practical applications, to promote holistic well-being and enhance physical, mental, and emotional health through yogic practices.

PEO4-Master tests, measurement, and evaluation techniques in physical education, enabling students to assess physical fitness, skill acquisition, and performance outcomes accurately and objectively, thus informing evidence-based practice and decision-making in sports and physical education settings.


PSO1Demonstrate proficiency in conducting research in Physical Education & Sports Sciences, including understanding research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and interpretation of findings.

PSO2Apply principles of exercise physiology to design and implement effective exercise programs for individuals and groups, considering factors such as age, fitness level, and health status.

PSO3Utilize Yogic sciences to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through the practice of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation, with an understanding of their physiological and psychological effects.


PO1- Research Proficiency: Graduates will demonstrate competence in conducting research within the field of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, employing appropriate methodologies and techniques.

PO2- Understanding of Exercise Physiology:Graduates will possess a deep understanding of the physiological responses and adaptations to exercise, enabling them to design effective exercise programs for individuals and groups.

PO3- Mastery of Yogic Sciences: :Graduates will be proficient in the principles and practices of Yogic Sciences, incorporating them into physical education and sports training programs for holistic well-being.

PO4- Competence in Testing and Evaluation: Graduates will be skilled in administering tests, measurements, and evaluations in Physical Education, providing valuable insights into the progress and performance of athletes and participants.

PO5- Expertise in Track and Field: Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in the techniques, strategies, and coaching methodologies specific to Track and Field events, preparing athletes for competitive success.

PO6- Specialization in Indian and Foreign Games:Graduates will have specialized knowledge and coaching skills in both traditional Indian games and foreign sports, catering to diverse sporting interests and promoting cultural exchange.

PO7- Integration of Information Technology: Graduates will harness Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools effectively in Physical Education settings, enhancing teaching, coaching, and administrative practices.

PO8- Sports Management and Curriculum Design:Graduates will understand the principles of sports management and curriculum design, enabling them to organize and oversee sports programs efficiently and effectively.

PO9- Application of Sports Biomechanics and Kinesiology: Graduates will apply principles of biomechanics and kinesiology to optimize athletic performance, prevent injuries, and enhance skill development.

PO10- Promotion of Health Education and Sports Nutrition:Graduates will advocate for health education and sports nutrition, imparting knowledge and strategies for maintaining optimal health and performance among athletes and individuals.
