Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is an undergraduate degree program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in various aspects of business, finance, accounting, and economics. It is a popular choice for individuals interested in pursuing careers in fields such as accounting, finance, banking, taxation, marketing, and management.

The B.Com course typically spans over three years and is divided into six semesters in many educational institutions. Master of Commerce (M.Com) is a postgraduate degree program that offers advanced knowledge and expertise in various aspects of commerce, business management, finance, accounting, and related fields. It is designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of theoretical concepts and practical applications in the business domain, preparing them for leadership roles in the corporate sector, academia, or entrepreneurship.

The learning outcomes-based curriculum framework for Commerce is intended to prepare a curriculum which enables the graduates and post graduates of commerce to respond to the current needs of the industry and equip them with skills relevant for national and global standards. The framework will assist in maintaining international standards to ensure global competitiveness and facilitate student.


PSO1The students will acquire the knowledge, skill in different areas of communication, decision making, innovations and problem solving in day to day business activities.

PSO2Students will gain thorough systematic and subject skills within various disciplines of finance, auditing and taxation, accounting, management, communication, computer.

PSO3Students can also get the practical skills to work as accountant, audit assistant, tax consultant, and computer operator. As well as other financial supporting services.


By goodness of the preparation they can turn into a manager, accountant , management accountant, cost accountant, bank manager, auditor, company secretary, teacher, professor, stock agents, government employments and so on.


The Program Outcomes will help students to:

PO1- The curriculum planning of B.Com. (Hons.) course provides the students thorough and inclusive knowledge of the areas related to finance, human resource management, marketing, international business, corporate and business laws, accounting and taxation etc.

PO2- The graduates of this programme will be trained to develop skills and attitudes needed for critical thinking and adopting a comprehensive problem-solving approach. They shall be exposed to the pedagogy that helps them understand real life situations through case-studies.

PO3- The courses also involve training the students to check unethical behaviour, falsification and manipulation of information in order to avoid debacles which can be seen rising persistently over the period of time. It would also help in making responsible citizens and facilitate character building.

PO4- This programme enables the students to be technologically updated as it has courses like computerized accounting system, computer applications etc. which not only make them work using software but also makes them independent enough in this world of digitization.
